What's New?

Well it's now official, within a few months Murex will cease to sell branded arc equipment. It will be the end of an era and probably is the last of the well established British brand names to operate in the UK market. The truth of it is that Esab have owned the Murex brand name for many years now and operated it alongside their own brand of Esab Arc Equipment and the two ranges have mirrored each other more or less. For us and I am guessing the majority of Esab/Murex distributors the emphasis has slowly shifted over the years away from Murex and more into supporting the Esab brand. The inevitable result is that less and less Murex equipment was being sold and finally there comes a time when volumes do not justify separate branding. The Murex equipment that is out there will continue to be fully supported and no-one should have any fears on this front as the vast majority of it is identical to that which is being sold as Esab, and to that extent continuity will maintain.
The full range of Esab Arc equipment will continue and anyone who has bought Murex Arc Equipment in the past should have no difficulty in obtaining the same item albeit in yellow rather than red.
On the upside there may well be some bargains to be had as Esab clear out their last remaining stock of Murex machines. If anyone has a particular requirement it may well be worth e-mailing us to see if there are any deals to be done.
