What we are offering here is a machine designed for by & large home use. There are probably a hundred & one offerings via the internet which I daresay you could spend hours browsing & trying to decipher if one has some special feature over another or whether you have really found the ultimate internet bargain. Let me try & make it plain where we are coming from with this machine.We want to offer a soundly engineered no frills machine that has good welding characterstics, has a strong warranty & is easy to use. Cue the Tradesmig 141. Manufactured by Esab for their sister company Murex, Esab are one of the major industrial welding equipment manufacturers in the world & if not the largest, must be pretty well up there & they just do not make rubbish equipment. This is their smallest offering but engineering standards remain high & if you want a 130Amp Mig welder for home/DIY use this is as good as it gets. On the face of it nothing remarkable, 4 voltage steps on a range from 18.7-25.1V, 35-130Amp range, weight 25Kgs, 650mmLx300mmWx550mmH, 100A@20% Duty Cycle. Input is a 16A 240v supply but I dare say mostly they will be used on a 13A domestic mains supply. Where it all starts to make sense is in the quality of components used. Firstly you get a comprehensive 2 years parts & labour warranty (although you do have to return it to one of Murex's national chain of distributors or us, all of which can be found on their web site www.murexwelding.co.uk). Secondly you will find using it & welding with it is like using a more expensive industrial mig welder. Stuff works & you don't have to wrestle with it & wish you hadn't bought it. Gas hose is supplied & is 1/4" Bore fitted with a 3/8" nut & tail, for connection to a proper regulator/cylinder. Dual polarity is standard if you're foolish enough to want to use gasless wire & torch spares are standard MB15 compatible. Finally the package is comprehensive with a dual grooved 06/0.8mm Feed Roll, Non-live Mig Torch & Earth Lead & Clamp.If you're near enough to one of our depots we recommend you pop in for a demonstration before you buy, if not then I guess you'll have to believe me if I say that if I was buying this sort of machine then I would buy this one with perfect confidence. There is sadly a lot of tat out there, this isn't one of those.
