The Redline 210 is the largest in the Redline range and is designed for general fabrication and workshop use. It has an output power of 210A, giving it an ability to weld maximum thicknesses of 6mm - 8mm. The starting current is also higher than others in the Redline range at 45A, which makes it a little high for car body repair work.
With the higher output available, this machine can run 0.6mm, 0.8mm and 1.0mm wire; but in practice this machine will run best with 0.8mm wire on a 15Kg reel. Duty cycle is up to 210Amps at 15%, which is suitable for normal day-to-day work. Various claims will be made about this size of machine being suitable for welding aluminium, however primarily this is a machine for welding mild steel.
The Redline 210 is a robust welding machine suitable for home or workshop use. Wire feed is managed via a steel pressure arm, which also features a reversible 0.6/0.8/1.0mm Feed Roll. The wire drive side of the machine is accessed via a hinged side panel and will accomodate 5kg or 15kg reels. The power is controlled by a 6 position voltage switch and wire speed is electronically controlled. It has a pressed steel chassis and side panels, 4 wheel undercarriage and a gas cylinder tray suitable for holding one of our Hobbyweld cylinders.
The Redline 210 uses an industrial quality euro connection for the torch, which delivers the wire smoothly and easily to the arc with a crisp, even burn off. Other welding machines may compromise with a hard-wired torch which saves on cost. Our advice would be to avoid those as the weld quality will never be as good as the euro connection torch. The Redline 210 is supplied with an MB25 type, 3m Mig torch.
Other features include thermal overload protection with warning light, forced air fan cooling and a full 2 year return to base warranty which covers all carriage costs.
