Kemppi GF403W5 Flexlite Fume Gun

The Flexlite GF product series consists of several MIG/MAG welding guns with a fumeextraction function. The efficient vacuum system extracts the welding fumes directly from the gun nozzle without disturbing the shielding gas flow, thus providing a safer and cleaner working environment for the welder as well as for others sharing the working environment.

The Flexlite GF is available in water- and gas-cooled versions, both featuring excellent ergonomics provided by the detachable pistol grip handle. The design and the shape of the grip handle make it a delight to hold. All Flexlite GF models enjoy the Flexlite features for user comfort, welding efficiency and extended consumable part life.

All welding processes produce smoke that contains harmful metal fumes and gases which are invisible to the eye. One single welding operator can produce up to 40 grams of airborne fumes and particles per hour. These welding fumes are composed of elements that are dangerous to human health. Exposure to airborne contamination for lengthy periods may result in long-term health issues, including cancer. 

The fume-extraction gun enables the extraction of welding fumes in challenging locations where it is difficult to arrange localized ventilation. An efficient fume-extraction gun, such as the Flexlite GF, collects up to 95 % of welding fumes directly as they are generated, and long before they reach the welder’s breathing zone. All Kemppi’s welding fume extraction gun models and their extraction efficiency has been measured according to new standard ISO 21904-3 . 

Fume-extraction guns are not the only option for removing airborne welding fumes and particles, but in many cases, they are the best. Fume-extraction guns are the only solution that removes the welding fumes directly at source.
