Branch Manager
Andy Sharp has joined Wellington Welding Supplies Ltd as the new branch manager of the Gosport branch after Wellington Welding Supplies successfully bought out his company,
Hampshire Welding Products in the summer of 2010. The existing Southampton branch of Wellington Welding Supplies has relocated to Gosport and the combined sets of both customers
are serviced and supplied from the Gosport premises, leading to overall efficiencies and improvements in service levels. Andy brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience
having done two longish stints with other welding distributors based in Southampton and having successfully run HWP for 10 years. Andy is renowned as something of
a perfectionist and customers can expect this to manifest itself in service levels and product quality. Away from work Andy is keen on the gym and enjoying the odd glass of red wine.
Sales Engineer
Chris Page has been with the company since 1993, prior to that he was with Oerlikon
Welding and Thomas P Headlands. Chris is a hands on member of the Eastleigh team
and likes nothing more than rolling up his sleeves and trying out the latest inverter
stick set or putting a Syncrowave through its paces. His welding skills are such
as to put him in the professional category. On the hobby side, we can reveal he
plays a mean game of golf and also possesses the unusual habit of walking up to
the ball and hitting it without taking all the elaborate practice swings and general
time wasting that you normally associate with golfers. This habit endears him to
many.
Office Supervisor
Georgina Sharp transferred across to Wellington Welding Supplies in the summer of 2010
as a direct result of the take-over of Hampshire Welding Products. She will be well known
to all Hampshire Welding customers as the mainstay of the accounts function and to a great
extent she will continue in this role for Wellington Welding Supplies. Prior to her stints
with Hampshire Welding and Wellington Welding Georgina worked for Abbey National Building Society.
Away from work Georgina looks after her five children and enjoys long walks.
Van Driver
Simon joined the company in January 2010 having done some work for us as an agency driver.
Simon is a reliable and conscientious member of the team who will always put the customer first.
He has an enviable accident record and keeps his vehicle both mechanically perfect and spotlessly clean.
